Meet Our Leadership Team
Wayne Cook, Chairman & Founder
Wayne founded Cook Systems more than 28 years ago and has led the company through three decades of change in perhaps the most rapidly changing industry in the world. Prior to founding Cook, Wayne served as the CIO of First Tennessee Bank, then worked with several leading IT solutions and services providers, successfully negotiating multiple solutions for clients across a spectrum of needs. With more than 40 years of experience in the IT industry, Wayne’s expertise and vision are important elements fueling the future of the organization.
Wayne spends his time championing the organization, providing guidance for Cook leadership, building relationships with family and investing in various ministries in the Memphis area.
Brad Weeks, Chief Executive Officer
Brad joined Cook as the President/COO in February 2016. Prior to Cook, he worked with KPMG and was a co-founder of a $500 million boutique investment firm (Ergon Capital) that both predicted and successfully navigated the 2008 financial crisis. During his time with Ergon, Brad led the research and investment team in evaluating opportunities involving over 500 large organizations. This experience provides a depth and breadth of understanding about trends and risk assessment unique to the IT solutions industry. Brad brings a rare, fresh perspective to client service, corporate culture and risk assessment.
Brad spends his time leading Cook, spending time with family, advising various nonprofit organizations and mentoring young leaders.
Christine Caruso, Chief Financial Officer
Christine became the CFO at Cook in 2002. Prior to joining Cook, Christine worked in the technology services industry for more than 20 years providing consistency, integrity and innovation managing financial systems and information. Christine is a foundational member of the Cook leadership team, providing strategic planning and direction. Her tenacity and diligence is deeply appreciated and valued by the team.
Christine spends her time leading Cook, developing professional relationships and enjoying time away at the lake house with her husband and a lively team of german shepherds.
Brent Nair, Chief Operating Officer
Prior to joining Cook Systems in 2017, Brent served as the CIO for the City of Memphis for 7 years. Before his time working for the City of Memphis, he served as CIO for a national financial services firm and held various roles with various industries including logistics, banking, manufacturing and higher education.
Brent holds the following certifications; CISSP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a Master of Science degree from the University of Memphis. He currently serves as an adjunct faculty member with MBA program at Christian Brothers University.
He has and continues to be a requested speaker at local and national conferences on topics ranging from Smart Cities, Building Teams, Risk Management, and Communication Strategies.
In his time away from work, Brent is involved with community and service organizations, serves on the board of the University of Memphis Business Information Technology department and is an avid homebrewer.
Joe Hunter, Director of Sales & Development
Joe holds a degree In Organizational Communication from Arizona State University. He was raised in Southern Louisiana but left the south to complete his education in the west where he met his wife of 25 years.
Joe has 25 years of management and leadership training with a heart for mentoring, investing, developing, and growing future leaders. He has researched, studied, written papers and presented on the different management styles within organizations that produce top performers and effective leaders.
With over 15 years in the medical sales industry training, developing and coaching top performers, he has been instrumental in helping sales reps maximize their potential and grow their careers. Three principles that govern all his behaviors are Integrity, Investment, and Innovation. He thinks outside the box and has a productivity verses activity mindset to accomplish and exceed company goals.
